My Mentor, The Drop
A drop of ink spilt on a page
It's properties spreading
The paper soaking it up
The ink expanded
That drop could of been many things
A dancing willow
A leaping letter
But it was just
A drop
On one page
So little
Not even noticeable
Can we give recognition to it as a change?
But it did change something.
It changed my feelings as an expresser .
It allowed me release
it provide comfort and hope
It gave space to form new ideas.
It was a possibility
Endless possibilities.
That drop was a guide for something to follow.
That drop changed everything
That drop became this poem
That drop served as a way to express ideas.
That drop was one of many that helped me think.
That drop lead me to understand so many feelings
