My Mentors
I have too many mentors to name. But I guess in a way my eyes are my mentors.
Let me explain, I see the world from both sides.
There is corruption, greed, pain, death, and depression.
But behind it all there is also love, beauty, happiness, and light.
We all have demons to battle everyday, even if we don't want to admit it.
Behind all the bad I still see the good.
Whether it be from reality or a movie, through song or a book.
We all can make a difference, to make the world a better place.
All it takes is one person, to take action.
To pay it forward.
Not everyone would agree on the changes we make or will even notice.
But that's ok too, they will eventually.
How I see it, there is good in everyone, even if they don't think so.
I see differences being through social media I'll admit.
I hear it as well through song or on the news, even through YouTube!
This isn't much of a poem I know.
But more of creative writing, I guess you could say.
But enough about me.
"The world works in mysterious ways", they say, but who's "they"?
Either way I agree.
See the world in your own unique way.
Not everyone woud agree, with seeing the beauty behind the pain.
And that's ok.
"See the world, live life!", a clique yet true saying.
My advice? See it through a child-like wonder.
It makes you truly see the beauty in every little thing.
My eyes are my mentors, are yours?
