My Metamorphosis

I stay low under detection, self eating my problems away.

Wanting change but feeling powerless to make it,

Self hate that furthers my eating until im plummed up.

I look inside myself to find something to love,

Hoping for something that might change.

Building a cocoon  around myself to leave

Me to all my thoughts and ready to self assess.

Months of making little changes, following a

Path of self love. Times of harshness was always

Blowing against me, but I held on to see it through.

Finally, after troubled times I emerge from the cocoon

Loving who I've become and who I kept striving to

Be, with my beautiful wings spread I finished metamorphosis.
