To My Middle School Crush

My life goals are different from yours, and there are places you'll want to go when you get older; I wont be there to hold you back, because I'll be gone too. And even though I'm writing this because I love you, I don't want to be with you, or bother telling you in person how I've felt, because my love won't last the decade. So I'll do my best not to take notice when you pass by, though I treasure your smile, and soon enough I'll no longer recognize both your face or the sound of your voice...

I've got a little poem book I've been working on since I was about 17 or 18, and one day I hope to make it into a book. I only add to it occasionally though.

I wrote this when I was 17. I have a little book of these poems that I'd like to pick from to share on the site, and then maybe start writing more new ones again to ease my worries.
