On My Mind

We’ve both messed up You hit me in my blind spot I wanted to get high and fly by While you cut and jut We began to spiral downward I tried to be a coward I wanted to pick up and leave It was easier not to believe Drugs took over It made me bipolar They sent me to rehab To prevent relapse And to detox My new family I soon have to leave in agony We became close so rapidly Now its time for me to go back to my baby I’ll keep in contact with them, maybe I’ll be off to another state To make my life great With my future in one hand My sobriety in another
