In My Mind

In the wonders of my mind

I've been lost for many years, 

Without a doubt or a fear 

I am completely me

I imagine seeing stars

on the darkest of nights

And  I'd watch the glowing light

break through the dark, black sky

I imagine watching the waves

that crash slowly on the shore,

I wish that there was more

to see beyond the horizon

In a mind like mine 

there's really no escape

So I believe that it's not too late

to change my reality 

In my mind

there's always something new

But if only you realized

those things are mostly about you

See you inspire my mind 

To go far beyond comprehension

But then again.....

It was not your intention

I don't think you realize 

how amazing you are

And since we're talking about it

you shine brighter than any star

To me you're perfect

and you must promise to never change

Because it would be a shame

to lose all that I love about you

Now I must go

my imagination is calling ,

Maybe today will be the day

when my reality is better than anything in my head
