My Mind

Winding paths and twisting dreams Stone walls that muffle broken screams Raindops stain the cobblestones In memory of the forgotten bones Gilded flowers grow in beds Softly round statues' sleeping heads They're watered by hidden tears Nurtured by regrets and fears I see in colored hazes Despair and endless mazes Poetry carved into my skin Ink to mirror the blood within It's the story I whisper at night Regrets, pain, but sometimes delight All the words I could never say With all the times I wish I could stay
