My Mind

My mind

Consumed of endless thoughts

Scattered around in mayhem

Even when I’m in the presence of people

My thoughts continue to race

Never taking a break

The people are what keep my mind somewhat sane

And when these people are gone

I know my brain

Will go insane

I want to be able to keep my sanity

Keep my mind at peace

Be able to keep the peace

Even when I’m alone

That’s all I want

That’s all I need

A tranquil state of mind

And I’ll know I can do anything

So within the loneliness all I need is…

My sanity
