My Mind Anonymous

My mind is constantly in chaos Bouncing off the walls Wandering into the distant future Cannot seem to stay present To put my thoughts in words To communicate to my fellow humans Seems impossible No one understands the way I think Why I am the way I am I am socially stunted With anxiety that I should have outgrown by now Oh, these words will be the death of me! But I refuse to die And let no one know why I think the way I do So I will write And I will tell you What goes on in this mind of mine But until that time When my rhymes are revealed And my world is no longer a secret I will keep my mouth shut My journal open With my pen poised Writing the memories and experiences That have shaped my heart And morphed my mindset One day the world will know Why I write
