IN MY MIND'S EYE

1. I saw a tomorrow bright and beautiful; where the lion roared and kept quiet for the purrs of the cat to be heard,
And the rich and the poor ate from the same plate,
I couldn't tell if they ate with a silver spoon or their hands,
The smiles on their faces were perhaps all I needed to see; they were happy breaking bread together.

2. I saw a tomorrow peaceful and joyful, where Moses and Musa read the Bible together,
And little Mary quoted the Sura as Mariam her best friend; clapped and cheered her on.
I couldn't tell if they sat in a Mosque or a Church,
The smiles on their faces were perhaps all I needed to see; they were happy praying together.

3. I saw a tomorrow full of promises; where there was no echo of the afflictions of yesterday,
And everybody lived freely and fully,
I could tell I saw you there, I saw you becoming all you ever wanted to be;
If only you spurned your fears and made a move.
