My Mirror

I see a face of recognition,
A face of intuition,
I smile at my amusing reflection,
But feel as if i'm changing direction,
I'm looking at a maturing reflection,
A beautiful complex of a complexion,
I'm looking at each angle and direction,
But i'm not making myself my own obssession,
Not everyone is born with perfection,
Not everyone has the same complexion,
Looking into the mirror on the wall i'm self-conscious of what I see,
I wonder if others see me as I see me,
A figure of uniqueness of certain humanity,
Each glow in the eye is a sparkle of intelligent quality,
Love and envy your reflection that you see,
Because in this world there's only one of me

I am an artist and poet who loves being both equally. I've been an artist longer than a poet and once I found poetry it became a part of me just as much as art. When it comes to using the two and bringing them together it creates a covert masterpiece that allows me to be creative and never worry about conforming to society or to the expectations of anyone in the world but my own. It allows me to say who I am without ever saying a word, art and poetry create my voice when I can't seem to find one.
