My Missed Opportunity

Youth is wasted on the young

You think you're smart but you're really dumb

Women like you don't grow on trees

You were My Missed Opportunity

Maybe you were the one

I blinked my eyes and then you were gone

I was just too blind that I didn't see

You were My Missed Opportunity

You weren't going to wait around forever

For me to finally get my act together

You could have been the right girl for me

You were My Missed Opportunity

When I see your pretty face

I think you were the one that got away

It's now getting easier to see

You were My Missed Opportunity

I tried again to reach out to you

But some hard times, you were going through

You didn't have a lot of time for me

You were My Missed Opportunity

On our birthdays, we still stayed in touch

When I get your messages, I think maybe it could have been true love

But you are never coming back around to me

You were My Missed Opportunity

Now that I am getting older it is getting harder for me

The chances to find love are few and far between

Maybe it could have been you and me

You were My Missed Opportunity
