My Mistake

Have you ever fallen too hard?
You did everything
gave all of your  heart
Now it's broken to pieces,
Left to shards

I don't really know how to feel
Caught like a fish on a fishing reel
Between love and hate you don't really know
With  the way we are now love is like a show

I loved you so much
Gave you everything I ever had
You led me on too far
My heart is cold, dead and sad

You told me you loved me
Gave me hugs, gave me love
Made me feel like I was real
But now you're gone, no longer my appeal

You said it was all my fault
I broke down crying on the asphalt
You lied and made everyone see
How cruel I was, how mean I could be

Well, I fell too hard
More than my heart could take.
You led me on too far
And now I know
To never make that same mistake.
