My Mom
My mom has worked all her life to give me the opportunities she never had
Ive looked into her eyes before and their stare is sad
Because shes crushed under the thumb of responsibility
For shes forced to slave away beyond her ability
Even at home she finds no tranquility
Because i am not the perfect child
Sometimes my mom describes me as rather wild
But all the work she does is for me
Shes strives to ensure my success
And because of what she has done for me i will achieve nothing less
