my mom

The screaming of pain brought me into this world

the sweat of your brow brought food into our home

the tears you wept to keep our home and family nit

the hugs you give calming my nerves

the scores you put on the fridge

the gradecards you signed

the faith you put in me

the days you think no one is watching

the struggle you hide

the struggle I see

the work you've done so unrewarded

the college letter on the table

the tears you weep knowing I got in

the hug you give

the love I shed

I see what you have done

I hear you cry about money

I pray for our lives

I thank having you

out of everything

out of it all

my mom my rock.
