To my mom in another city

Dear Mom,

How are you?

I wouldn't have a clue.

Seeing you on facebook

doesn't give me a true look

I should be hurt

That you threw me in the dirt

But I'm doing well

Absolutely amazing and swell

Thanks for not asking

I hope you feel guilt everlasting

What did you do?

How about a clue.

I didn't just magically end up here

The truth is crystal clear

You think it's ok

To just walk off and say

"I know your my daughter and all"

But, "Your issue pile is too tall"

You dropped me off at this place

With a smile on your face

But, I'll be out soon

Don't expect a sunny visit one afternoon

I'm fine without you

Because I know whats true

That I am strong

And didn't need your insults all along

People love me regardless

You are just heartless

Maybe this letter will give you another look.

Sincerely, Brooke
