My Mom Taught Me

My mom taught me to be kind to others.
When others treat you badly, kill them with kindness.
That way the bridge has been burned.
My mom taught me to be polite.
She told me if she hadn't said sir and ma'am, her mom would be upset;
Which when grandma ain't happy nobody happy.
My mom taught me to follow my dreams.
From the moment I first started singing, she believed in me.
She always knew I could do what I put my mind to.
My mom taught me to love.
No matter what happens, I know my mom will always love me.
