My Momma
Momma' always told me to hold on.
She said, 'always be strong',
And never worry of tomorrow,
She said, my momma' said.
Because ain't no woman.
Ain't no woman, who will love me
Ain't no woman, who will make me strong
Momma' said to hold on.
Smile today, and live tomorrow
My momma' knew of sorrow
And pain and hurt and tears
My momma' cried for years
Oh momma', I miss you so
Wishes you didn't have to go
God is good, we both know
Because....
My momma' said a long time ago
