My monster
Lack of Confidence is my "monster"
It Burns through me like fire.
I feel like I'm swimming in a sea full of my own insecurities.
It's Sharp claws tear at my being, a pain so great it feels like a thousand knives.
I weep until the water from my weary eyes is no more.
For years, I yearn to get rid of this monster that consumes me.
It haunts me as I try to fight it off.
I'm so frightened, like a deer in headlights.
I use my head to decide which I shall let take over.
I decide to use my confidence sword to defeat the monster off.
I unleash it from my inner self as I stab it in the heart.
It roars in agony at the sudden impact.
He looks at me.
I look back.
With a smirk on my face, as I sink the sword deeper into the heart.
Killing him slowly but surely,as he breathes his last breath.
