Books are my most prized possessions.

Always adding to my collection;

It’s gotten to be quite an obsession!

I love to spend time reading,

Living in a story

With the things I love most: books.

There are many aspects of a book.

Good plot – this a tale must possess

For readers to enjoy the story.

There should be characters – a nice collection –

For the audience to enjoy reading,

And over which fangirls will obsess.

Reading and writing should make you obsessed.

You yearn to join the world of a good book,

To be part of the setting of which you read.

Another element all anecdotes possess,

And we will note in this collection,

Is a conflict – that’s what makes the story.

The last thing you’ll need to create a memorable story,

To make readers truly obsessed,

Is a theme, from the universally known collection.

Something everyone desires to possess

So they can read and re-read.

I constantly want to be reading,

To immerse myself in a story.

And of all that I have ever possessed,

Books have been the longest lasting obsession.

The best gift I receive is a book

To feed my ever-growing collection

Rocks or records some others collect.

My greatest dream is to read,

To edit and write and publish books.

Reading and writing let me enter a new story.

There is a reason that I am so obsessed!

Never will I be without a book in my possession.
