To My Mother
His hand soon comes to free me
No more shall I suffer and cry
No more will Mother see me
For I will have left with a sigh
Nevermore to feel that power
That threatens my soul with grief
I soon shall ascend His tower
At last, I shall have my relief!
Not once again shall I feel anguish,
That pain that pierces my heart
I shall know a perfect language,
My higher education will start.
His hand soon comes to retrieve me,
To bless me with freedom from care
If I have been good as I could be,
I'll receive what honor is fair
My mind and my heart I will take
All else shall be left behind
I shall leave every single mistake,
Every instance I hadn't been kind
Thus shall I ascend to Heaven above
Where my Father waits patiently
With grace I'll attempt to match His love
But His love flows endlessly
So, dear Mother, I leave you with hope
I pray someday you'll join us here
I know, my Mother, you'll learn to cope
Although you may shed a tear
As I live peaceably, blissful in paradise,
I'll watch over you every day
Don't eve heed to Satan's lies
I love you, as I will always.
