To my mother
Its more than blessing to have you in my life//
You've always been there for me since birth//
Now I'm scribbling on this to let you know of your worth//
Even when I soaked my pillow in tears//
You were there and made me overcome all of my fears//
Even when I was betrayed by those I call my peers//
My poetry may never be deep enough to express my gratitude//
You never given up on me even when I gave you an attitude//
You always found me when I'm lost, when I'm in a wrong latitude//
You are a black queen you deserve a throne//
You deserve all the pretty things, the prettiest stone//
You deserve the entire world, I wish I could gift wrap the globe//
You taught me never to love material things cause those may fade away//
When I went astray//
You always kneeled down and pray//
You taught me to dance in a pouring rain//
To embrace pain//
Cause that will make me a man..and I will stand in my own lane//
One of the saddest things in life is when I see you frown//
When tears tickle on the corners of your eyes, when you are down//
I always hold my tears cause I know if I let em flow,in them I'd drown//
You are the world's number one mom//
And I'm writing this poem as a proud son//
Because you have no flaws, I mean NONE//
I'm scribbling on this to let you know of your worth//
No one loves me more than you do on this earth//
For I'm thankful, and thank you for paving me the right path//
I'm sorry about the pain I put you through//
Please know that I place no one above you//
Ma, I love you//
