My Mother

My mother is a true light within

We are practically soulmates

She’s always the person I can confide in

I know I will always have someone who relates

At times her beliefs cause her to be strict

She wants what's best and I can be stubborn

The differences cause lots of conflict

Still I understand why she can scorn

My mother is also a best friend

She believes in me as a young woman

We go to stores like Forever21 and H&M

We grow a bond and everlasting trust until the end

My mother gave me the courage be who I aspire

I know now I can anything I desire
