My Mother

Like the sun in the morning.

Like the moon at night.

This person is a radiant light.

She pushes me forward whenever I am down,

and makes me laugh to prevent any frown.

At times she is overbearing,

other times I wish she were gone.

But where would I be without her loving embrace?

Though she may fuss,

and at times we will fight,

my Mother will always be my light.
