To My Mother

Dear Mom,

Without you mom, I would never be

You have shaped me significantly ever since I was three

I laugh when you laugh

Which makes me even more like you

We are so alike, we even wear the same size shoe!

You are my best friend, no one can compare

Words can not describe how much I care

When people look at me they only see you

And when I see you it reminds me of who

I aspire to become on a daily basis

You mom, are my home and my oasis

I know I can count on you, you will always be there

When there is a stain on my shirt or a knot in my hair

There is no mother as great as you

You are truly rare

It is very important to me that others see

How much you, mother, truly mean to me

I'm grateful for you in an abundance of ways

You are the reason I push through most of my days

I want to make you proud, mom, I want you to know

I am not ready to leave home, I don't want to go

I will call you everyday and tell you lots

A part of me will truly be missing once I am gone

Just know I will miss you each and every day

I am so glad I have you to prepare me and send me on my way

Thank you mom for all that you have done

I am so glad to have you by my side since day one!
