My Mother Dear

Everyday that I fail,

and everyday that I cry,

You are there sweeter than a nightingale,

teaching me how to fly.

You lift me up on broken wings,

ever so tender and sweet.

You take away unpleasant stings,

and help me back on my feet.

My mother dear,

seems to always keep me on my path,

never failing to steer me clear,

of my own neverending wrath.
