My Mother, The Rock

She.

In her life

she tried so hard

never ever asking for any rewards

her parents pushed

for realistic things,

not asking about her plan,

just hopin' for "ca-ching"

In 1979 she went to college

changed her major a couple times

but it was worth it

She taught for a year

and got a ring a ding from California software

flew out there and stayed for her twenties

but after a while said I'm going home to mommy

Her.

She.

In 1993, she heard wedding bells

Let's build a life

moved to Maryland with dad 'cuz he did sales

opened up her own dance studio

truthfully, she always knew she would

Moved back to Connecticut four years later

She was always pulled there for worse or for better

Taught with another studio

Then was offered to take over

Who could say no?

So here we go now...

Her.

Him.

Dream.

In 1997, "It's a girl!"

Four short years later, "It's another girl!"

"Carly looks like you and Jess looks like me!"

We're a great family.

She.

He.

Them.

We.

Dream.

Reality.

In 2010, new studio again

the dream lives on

this time a little smaller

but still staying strong.

In 2015, her landlord has a new tenant

he said pack your bags, good luck!

Two months later, she found a space.

She never gave up.

Yes!!! Finally! Now renovate.

Advertise.

Paint.

Persuade old students and new so it thrives.

This woman.

Full force, into her dream.

My rock.

My awesome.

Truly awesome.

Her children will hopefully take a hint from her story.

Her.

Him.

They.

We.

Dream.

Reality.

New Adventure.

Awesome.
