My Mother's Daughter

My Mother
My Mother
My Mother
I am her(s).

My Mother:
With her rough hands and rougher voice
With her sweet smile and hardened eyes

A lion in her heart and Heaven at her feet.

And I:
With my soft soul and sheltered mind
With my carefree mouth and laughing heart

A fire in my being and an Angel by my side.

My Champion
My Deliverance
My Sanctuary
I am her(s).
