My Mother's Land (Poetry is to me...)
My mother's land,
Is wide, like seaside reaching the edge of horizon.
It is a place where time and space invade the lines that maintain symmetry.
It is the land that from its dirt sprouts poetry.
It is vast like galaxy. Where I find myself visiting on many occassions.
Where this aliented kinky/curly-haired alien picks her astro-knots and sheds her
earthy possesions. A place where Great Mother speaks her truths and
births her lessons.
My mother's land is home. And like Adam gave Eve,
from mother's poet-trees I pluck my fruit for thought.
My mother's land provided me with poetry,
through poetry I create seas,
with these seas I have sight,
now blessed to see the light in this body of water called "me".
Poetry means life to me.
It is synonymous with breathing.
