My Name

My Name

by Lindy Dixon

I’ll never find it on a keychain

It’ll never be on a cup

my name was supposed to be Bailey

But that got passed down to my pup

Poetry has never been my thing

and I might as well give up

But before I go

There’s a bit more you should know

Don’t dare to call me Lindsey

That is not my name

However, Dee, Rage and TT

Those i’m willing to claim

Beautiful is what it really means

but that I would beg to differ

I’m sassy, stubborn, and not one to boast

but I am quite a winner

IT’s unique and weird

But that's all okay

I love it

I wouldn’t have it any other way
