my name is poetry

I was introduce to poetry at a very young age; when I was younger I felt like I didn’t have a voice, only when I write I felt like my voice was as loud as a lioness roar. Later in life, I suffer from a serious self-esteem problem, no one understood at school and no cared at home, so I will sit down and write until I fell asleep. Poetry to me is a way to express the emotions with words that you can’t express with your mouth. Even now that I’m nearing my Twentieth birthday, I have no car, I still live with my mother and I barely have a dollar to my name, as long as I have my writing I feel like I can accomplish anything I set out to do.
