My Nightly Terror

I'm afraid when I fall asleep
Will I forget everything about today?
All the laughs and smiles.
All the anger and frustration.
All the pain and tears.
Things I did and the reasonings for them.

I'm afraid to fall asleep.
I don't want to forget today.
Everything that made me happy.
Everything that pissed me off.
Everything that made me sad.

If I don't write about today, I'll forget.
But, I'm usually too tired to write at night.
When I fall asleep I could forget everything.
I hope I at least remember what I've learned.

Its time to rest now.
So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow -
Unless, of course, you're today.
