My Now, My Future

Chaos happened when I fell for him,

A man that came to me in an instant of when I wasn't sure.

The build of his chest, the stance of his body, the ease of his jaw...

The brown that moved so deeply in his eyes...

But what held me most was the vivid gold of his heart.

I glimpsed it so lovingly in his smile.

The sky is colored brightly each day,

And I forget how life can be difficult.

I forget to be sad when he makes me so happy.

He is my now.

He is my future.

He is my hand to hold.
