To My Old Best Friend

To my old best friend,

I loved you to the moon and back

You were my everything

Even though we had our fights and disagreements

I loved you

When everything changed it was like I was being ripped apart by the person closest to me

You kicked and screamed

You weren't safe at home

You couldnt even talk to me

Finally it seemed that things started to change

started to take a turn for the better

you were getting better

Then one day you were kicking and screaming once again

It felt just like a repeat of what is was before

We were finally able ot get you help

Able to get you back

After things had been normal for a little bit

you went downhill

You couldnt even stay with me anymore You had to leave becasue your home wasnt safe anymore

We were finally able to find help

Find medicine

Find a counter medicine

Just so things could go back to they once were

The time when you were my best friend

My old best friend seems distant

seems closed off

seems scared and confused

My old best friend is you

I want my brother back

So I can fill the empty hole in my heart

So I can have my old best friend back once again
