My Old Uncle

Always speaks his opinion

In fact, won't ever shut up, my Uncle Sam

He dresses in the most outrageous colors

Never had a sense of fashion, ole Uncle Sam

Always ordering me to toughen up

Life's not for the weak, says Uncle Sam

He wants me to get some guts and enlist

America was built on fighters, believes Uncle Sam

He's a crusty old fellow

Loud and usually annoying, my Uncle Sam

But stubborn too

He's stubborn and hardworking, Uncle Sam

And I guess, under all his bluster

He's soft on the inside, maybe loving, my Uncle Sam

Nobody understands the ole fellow

Cause in the end he's good, my Uncle Sam
