My Older Brother
You're my older brother.
The person I can't ever thank enough.
The one who has taught me so may things.
From never giving up to following my heart and dreams.
Teaching me the ropes of how to do basic things.
From the changing of tires to learning to read a tape measure and how to drive.
To the late night rant sessions and always being there for me when I needed you most.
The one who shares the same pain for someone that meant so much.
Inevitably providing the right words to say even when they are so simple.
The one who showed me finding love is possible.
You're my older brother.
The one who I hope to make proud.
From reassurance that things will get better to just give it time.
To the one I'm going to miss the most next year and so scared of leaving behind.
The honest and straightforward one, teaching me to take up for myself.
Thank you for being the best friend any sister could ask for.
You're my older brother.
