My only crime is my religion,
So my sentence is severe;
They’ll declare the death penalty
To my presence on this hemisphere.
They say I’ll have an impartial jury,
In this Land of the Free,
But my way of life denotes an exception,
So they’ll see right through me.
They won’t look me in the eye,
For both will gleam without tears,
As I demand the justice
That’s been snatched away from me for years.
They’ll hunt me down forever
For the wrath that I’ve incurred
By following a certain faith
But my voice will be heard.
