My Outbreak

Living in a confined world where you are told what to speak of, if anyone would even listen being a meer eighteen year old of the time, how to act and how society will define you, you are forced to speak your mind somehow. Whether to a friend or diary, someone willing to listen and not give their input, Somewhere you can just be you and not be heard, because in a small town everybody talks. Poetry found me in my deepest days, even though I have no rhyme. Seeking closure from an empty book, that will soon be forgotten. Years pass and people change, and society changes you. Looking back at when you were eighteen, you had nothing to lose.
