My Own Angel
Every day is the same, living life without a name
I lost my way a long time ago,
And I’ll find myself again; even if I have to do it alone
Life is one long crossroad with many choices to make
The places you’ll go will end up sealing your fate
I’ve made every wrong choice, all within the blink of an eye
My inside voice is slowly starting to die
I’ve had one too many to try to drown out the worst in me
If I ever had one final wish, I’d wish for my own happiness
Faith can only get me so far,
In trying to save me from the dark
God left me to clean up his mess
He made it easier for me to choose
Between this loaded gun or this noose
There’s nothing left of me for him to bless
No matter how hard I pray
There’s nothing left for me to say
I’m leaving all this behind to find my own way
I’ve been running in circles, with nothing but my own self-doubt
It would be a miracle, if I found a way out
I lost against sin and all I see now is red
The only way to win is to lay on my deathbed
I’ve paid for my mistakes; there’s only so much a man take
If I can’t learn from what I’ve been through; it will be the last thing I do
Hope is what got me here in the first place
And now, I’m a failure to the human race
Redemption is out of reach
I’ve dug myself a six foot grave
A lost soul that the church couldn’t save
And there will not be a farewell speech
No matter how high I climb
Happiness will soon be mine
It’s time to find my new meaningful life
Every day is the same, living life without a name
I lost my way a long time ago,
And I’ll find myself again; even if I have to do it alone
