My Own Flawless

By the illustrious text

within the scripture

of English articulation

the definition of "Flawless"

is "to be devoid of flaw";

it is accepted with general sanction

A quest to obtain

this eminent appellation

lures with a force near despotic

while titular though

its existence may be

the siren song is hypnotic

Bloating the world

is self-contempt

contortion high in self-perception

what should illuminate

for all to know

is for this a contraception

Pragmatically, in a

guileless sense Webster's

"Flawless" is an inaccessible feat

an elevated station of

both body and mind which

no mortal of flesh may so meet

Tis part of humanity

to be filled with mistakes

riddled with flaws from which to learn

they better us further

than perfection could muster

provide character with every churn

Not claiming am I that

no one is "Flawless"; quite

the contrary, for each and all are

in unique ways, at

various degrees, every being

has blossomed from scars

Our pasts mold us up

fabricate from a base

which genetics and history lay

blossoms of knowledge

burst forth from each crack

like origami in reverse play

I am not "Flaw LESS", but

freckled with memories

and struggles within my soul

I am ME because of

my flaws: with them I'm

MY "Flawless"; I'll grow
