My Own Thing
As I write this down for you,
I hope you take it;
Life ain't free in this world,
you make it.
Yea, crown me,
please make me king,
I need silence,
to do my own thing;
I'm not dim,
but I don't wear bling.
Yes, I do rap;
no, I don't sing.
Yeah, I used to be such a smartass;
Momma slapped me for that smart sass,
started crying,
felt like dying.
Failed once,
but now I'm trying.
Act like the head chef, cause I'm frying
you all up like fast food gruel,
I eat you up, but I'm not quite full.
Reminds me of mid school,
Where everyone thought they were cool,
and I was a fool.
I didn't really care,
chubby, tan, with black straight hair.
It was all good back then,
but high school came,
and I didn't have a friend.
Wasn't like 1st grade,
where we played pretend.
This is our future,
where we have an end.
My lyrics aren't bulk,
they fit tight.
Come look at me,
I feel like the light
Yeah, I am bright,
even in the dark
I’m a small dog with a big bark
Gonna keep doing this till I make millions;
you think I'm a funny boy? I'll show you Robin Williams.
Having fun while it lasts, for just a bit;
I think I'm worthy of a scholarship
