My Passion

I've lived a monotonous life,

Filled with what I thought could give me purpose.

Pursuing so many meaningless things

Afraid and alone,

I sought to be different.

But didn't understand that

To be unlike the mold was to be

Content with who I am.

I found through doing

Exactly what I swore to hate;

The true passion and drive

To change the world as I seeked.

I am what I hated;

It is beautiful.
