My Past Lover

Siting next together in class,

I threw subtle glances at your thoughtful expression.

My love for you is strong and tough like glass.

Yet, these past few months give me a misimpression

that our love is dying.

Because I love you,

I wished I talked to you more often.

Because I love you,

I hope that our relationship toughens.

But becaused I loved you,

I had to let you go.

Like setting a bird free from a cage,

I know you will fly happily and elegantly.

If only I knew how to fix the damage,

then I could haved loved you more wholeheartedly.

Although, sometimes saying goodbye

is the best way we show our love.
