My Paw Paw Forever

You were always “just resting your eyes” Your shop was filled with knick knacks You always had plenty of time for me Sugary sodas were our little secret Hours of just tinkering around You were always strong around me That’s why it hurt to see you hurt To watch you struggle and in pain To see the life fade from your eyes To see you fight for me You were my greatest role model You made peanuts their own food group Your cows were a part of the family I could do no wrong in your eyes You always loved me unconditionally I was your cutie pie even when my attitude wasn’t so cute Your truck was full of snacks all the time Your hands were worn by tender at the same time You will always be my paw paw
