My Pearl Nightmare

Location

37772
United States

Overhead planes flew

Screams, guns, explosions

That’s all I could hear

I saw feet of my friends running

And ships exploding.

My mouth was like a desert

My stomach tossed and churned

Fear of being blown to pieces

Then the planes flew away cheering

I’m alive

My friends were not so lucky

Over and over this play

In my mind and

The same feelings come with it

It is burned

Into my mind

And dreams.

My head pounds

The scene drifts away,

To come back tonight in my dreams
