My pen and paper

As the heaven crumples

It allows the sweetest saddness

to flood back into my life

and take me away

Drifting alone in the waters

The only reason I keep my head above water

Is my pen and paper

that show me the way

When I'm nothing but hollow

I forgotten how to survive for tomorrow

As the sea of sorrow sweeps me away

My pen and paper shows me the way

Stuck in the sea of sorrow I constantly push past the waves

that try to take me away

For days and days

I push harder and harder

I suddenly find myself being sucked under

Considering defeat

The sweetest temptation

My pen and paper remind me to keep fighting

to push back to the surface

and fight back the tidal waves

Because one day I will reach the shore

and I won't have to worry about drowning

anymore.
