My people endure
We went from a raisin in the sun. To raising up your son for him to be caught in the wrong neighborhood. Then they put that razor to your son. Now your son's corps shrivels up like a raisin in the sun. We went through the triangle trade. To being cautious of the people we allow in our inner circle. And now you allow people to call you a square if you rep where you really come from. I'm not talking about 69th or O'block I'm referring to Africa. And I must admit there aren't that many people representing the roots from which we flourished from....well supposedly flourish. Because around here is dead trees in death valley of broken hearted inferior criminals. We were told we are savages and never even had a standard to uphold or caliber to belong to . That's why they say things like if you want to keep something hidden away from a nigga put it in a book. Well deep inside each and everyone of us are secrets never told, never seen of and never heard before. We are books that were judge by the cover, the color of are skin is moreso like a sign of caution. We were auctioned and prevented the privilege of reading and writing. Whipped, scorned, and strife. Belittled with no intent of reimbursement for the hurting. Through the diversion we emerged through the thick fumes of screams and hallows of our dead ancestors, we too endured like the israelites. They knew what they put us through wasn't right. So answer me this: if they saw with their own eyes our people overcome and rise through the hard times back then. Why would they put their trust into us failing with all the necessities we need to live at hand? They're trying to handicap us. Stagnate us and destroy us, but when we get it together. The caliber of nation we are, its impossible to stop us.
