My perception

Looking at myself,

Sometimes I cannot tell

Am I in heaven or am I in hell

Living in the shadows

Unseen I am anonymous

Who will see me?

I scream and shout

Hoping, no dreaming

Needing to be found

Can I find myself

Why do I sell myself short

Is it my height of just my mind

Time and time again I am told

You have potential that is untold

Not seeing what everyone sees

Afraid of everything so I continue to flee

When will i let myself free

Open myself up and let it all be

Wondering what I can be

Hope is all I need.
