My Perfect Diamond in the Rough

Dear You,

You use to shy away from me

hid your self so I could not see.

You let me drown in my own sorrow and pain

simple so you could make it through the day.

DID YOU FORGET THAT I COULD NOT SWIM?

I know you set that up so I could not win.

Why I ask did you let me hurt?

like dirt

worth no more than my own skirt

It hurt.

You let me be the victim and prey.

You truly took me away

from me

from my strength and ability.

You let me think it was others that brought me down

but in reality, YOU were the one that brought those frowns.

but stop I'm not mad at you.

I will forever be in love with you.

You've made mistakes and let me see

that I am truly a boss ass B

for overcoming that bad quality.

So thank you for learning from your mistakes

and loving yourself the way you were made.

NEVER forget that I love you no matter what

my perfect diamond in the rough.
