My person

Dear You,

I am here to say that I miss you dearly.

I have stumbled onto a path of confusion and pain

I don’t know what to do anymore.

My brain seems to have an on/off switch

which I cannot control,

all I am certain of is You.

You would guide me through the darkest of times,

You cheered me up when I was down,

You held my hand as I lived some of the biggest moments

in my life.

You made me laugh and cry tears of joy,

You always welcomed me with a warm embrace,

You were always so proud of me when I would share

with You my accomplishments.

You were my best friend,

You were my hero.

I am deeply sorry however, for the situation we seem to

find ourselves in.

You never hurt me,

You only wanted what was best for me,

You were there for me.

I apologize for what I have done.

I have put You through so much pain.

I can only imagine how unbearable it must be.

Trust me,

I wanted to protect you and your family.

I did this for You and everyone else.

I wanted You to be safe.

I needed them to secure.

Only You understand my point of view,

You made me the person I am today,

the joyous, optimistic, respectful being I am,

sarcasm included.

We shared a bond greater than anyone could ever imagine…

it was unbreakable.

My life had never been so complete.

I miss You dearly.

I wish You were here now.

You would wipe my tears and replace them with kisses,

You hugged me tight when I couldn't stand to be alone,

You would push others away from me when I needed space,

You understood me in every possible way.

You guided me through the silly guy problems,

You'd lend a hand in school projects when I would run

out of creativity,

You took me out into the city when I needed a break,

You were my person.

I'd like to think that you still are and always will be.

I'd like to ask that you don't leave me.

I'd like to ask for you to answer the phone when I call

and tell me "I'm on my way" when I say I need to see you.

I'd like for you to tell me "it's okay" when I'm falling

apart.

I'd like for you to brush my hair again and tell me your

stories when I need comforting.

A lifetime is only so little,

And time alone is a candle burning endlessly...or so we

think.

I know that I can't see You,

oh God how it kills me.

I know it would jeopardize everything I've fought so

hard for.

But I feel it's worth it,

for You, I'd do anything,

As you've done for me.

I love You and I know I didn't say it enough when You

were around.

I regret it so much now...

I’m in so much pain,

I want it to stop,

help me, please.

Everything I do ends up in a mess,

I know that if I had You,

You would have the answer.

Please come back to me, I’m begging You.

I'm willing to risk it all.

You need to know that I don’t blame You

for anything.

It wasn’t your fault.

You didn’t know.

I’m sorry I didn’t tell You

and that You had to find out this way.

I need You.

I miss You.

I love You…

My person, I hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,

Your Goddaughter
